How to determine if you need joint replacement
If you are experiencing significant pain and your joint pain
isn’t responding to non-surgical methods like physical therapy and medications,
then joint replacement would be ideal for your situation. Also, if you’ve gone
through less invasive surgery procedures but still the join paint cannot be
eliminated, then joint replacement is the solution for you. Some other factor
you might want to consider is taking enough rest but the joint pain isn’t
decreasing or changes and the pain keeps you awake instead, keeps you from bending,
walking and straightening.
Determine if you are a good candidate for joint replacement
Although not all people are considered to be a perfect
candidate for joint replacement since there are factors needed to be considered
in order for the person to be qualified for the procedure. One good sample is,
if you have difficulties that is severe like non-working muscles supporting the
joint, systematic infection or damaged nerves. Those are just some of the
factors that may prevent you from being a good candidate for joint replacement.
